Robert W. "Bob" Studer, age 102, of Smithville, died peacefully Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at Ohio's Hospice LifeCare in Wooster, following a period of declining health.

Robert was born on November 22, 1922, in Sterling, Ohio, to the late Martin and Edna (Blough) Studer and married Marjorie Ramseyer on, November of 1943 in Orrville. Marjorie died on July 3, 2009.

He graduated from Smithville High School and worked as a lifelong potato and grain farmer in the Smithville area for Myrtle Farm (the family farm) for many years.

Robert was a longtime member of Orrville Christian Church, and a former member of the Farm Board, Smithville School Board, Wooster Kiwanis and the Smithville Ruritan Club. He enjoyed woodworking, and will be remembered for his singing, individually and as a member of the Harmoniars Quartet.

Surviving are son, Gary (Joyce) Studer of Smithville; daughter, Jane (Ed) Sandri of Gaylord, MI; four grandchildren, LeAnne (Mike) Buchholz, Brian (June) Studer, Andrew (Shawnee) Sandri, and Mark (Haleigh) Sandri; seven great grandchildren, Macy (Jake) Hedrick, Kayleigh (Alan Michael) Ulrich, Zachary (Shelby) Studer, Jacob (Jordyn) Studer, Sean Dale, Teddy Sandri, and Shae Sandri; great-great grandchildren, Charlotte, Stetson, and Miles.

The family would like to thank Smithville Western Assisted Living and Care Center and Ohio's Hospice LifeCare in Wooster.

A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
