Robert V. Swigonski

Robert V. 'Bob' Swigonski, 57, of Medina, passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, surrounded by his family following a lengthy illness. Bob was born on July 18, 1968, in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Raymond Swigonski and Barbara Swigonski.

Bob was a lifelong resident of the area. He operated his own carpet installation business for many, many years and started installing carpet at the very young age of 13. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Bob also enjoyed following his local sports teams, primarily the Cleveland Browns and the Cleveland Indians. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his 3 granddaughters. Bob was very selfless and would help anyone he could. He always thought of others first.

He is survived by his daughters, Hope (Mike Crucis) Swigonski, and Kandis Swigonski; granddaughters, AJ Balog, Lylli Albano, and Bailey Crucis; father, Raymond (Trudy Fensel) Swigonski; siblings, James (Jean) Swigonski, Josephine (Bob) Jones, Dan (Katie) Swigonski, Tina Swigonski, Ed (Pam) Swigonski, and Ed (Christine) Namoski; and many nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara (Leirer) Swigonski.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 25, 2025, from 5-8 pm at Waite Funeral Home: 765 N. Court Street, Medina, OH 44256. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at 10:30 am at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church: 606 E. Washington Street, Medina, OH 44256.
