Robert Clinton Walker, the first son to Robert Lee and Rosia Walker was born on September 5, 1960 in Marion, IN. Robert attended and graduated from Marion High. After graduating he began his automotive career at Walker Body Shop where he fueled his love for cars. Robert’s love for cars drove him down the path of all things automotive where he worked at various car dealerships.
Robert Clinton (Clint) was united in Holy Matrimony to Lashawn R. Grundy on July 9, 1994. From this union Robert inherited two daughters; Crystal Grundy and Marquita Jordan, and produced one son Robert Christopher.
Robert confessed Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior at an early age where he attended St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church. After moving to Indianapolis he was a member at Light of the World Christian Church and then a member at Amazing Grace Christian Church until his death.
Robert was a man of few words as quiet as a Cadillac Escalade if you will. However, the roar of his engine was as loud as a 1966 Pontiac GTO whenever he talked on the phone to his family. You could definitely hear it from a mile away.
His favorite past times included eating breakfast at various restaurants with his wife and grandsons and he loved watching Gunsmoke. His favorite restaurant was IHOP.
Robert was preceded in death by his Grandparents, his father Robert Lee and nephew Marcus C. Walker Jr. Robert leaves to cherish his memory of life on the highway: wife Lashawn R. Walker; son Robert Christopher; step-daughters Crystal Grundy, and Marquita Jordan; mother Rosia Walker; brothers Alfred Walker and Marcus (Nita) Walker Sr., George Rose. and Carlton C. Rose; grandsons Robert Jaiden Walker, Caleb Grundy-Hooten, Caelen Grundy-Hooten, Corbin Grundy, and Makai Jordan. He will be tremendously missed by a niece, nephews and a host of family and friends.
