Robert Edward White Iii

Robert Edward White III fondly known as Bobby passed away on May 17, 2022.
Born in Des Moines, Iowa on January 3, 1961, Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Robert Edward White, Jr., and Step-Father Larry Carter. He is survived by his mother, Linda Carter-Lewis; his wife of 27 years Gina White; son, Christopher O'banion; daughters, Melissa Sprung, Melinda and Scott Shipley; brothers, Steven White and wife Kim, Christopher Carter; 6 grandchildren, Katelynn and Justin Shipley, Madelyn, Emily and Paul Martinez, children of extended son and daughter in-law, Adrian and Jenny Martinez, Julian and JuWan Clayton son of Lovey Clayton; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
Bobby was the Senior class President in high school and graduated in 1978. He then moved to Houston, TX where he worked numerus jobs until being hired by Phillips and worked as a telephone technician for 30+ years. He loved God, all children, his family and friends with a passion. He loved to play golf, fish, smoke brisket, and volunteer at rodeo. One of his cherished pastimes was attending the Texans football games in which we tailgated at the games for years. He gave the best hugs and was always there to make us laugh in our darkest moments. His smile would light up a room and knew how to have a good time. His family and extended family were his world. He leaves us with all the life teachings he could pass on and will be dearly missed.
Due to health issues, he was on disability since 2014. In 2018 his kidneys failed and he started dialysis. We were in the process of getting approved for a kidney transplant. He is no longer suffering and we will continue to celebrate his life.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 23, 2022 in the Miller Funeral Chapel from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 in the Miller Funeral Chapel at 10:00 am. with interment to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Jesse White, Christopher O'banion, Domonick Taylor, Scott Shipley, Adrian Martinez, and Byron Curtis. Honorary pallbearers are Kenneth Carter, Steve White, Keith Carter, Christopher Carter, Larry Souders,, Bryndon Curtis, Irvin Lewis Jr. and Tony Gibbs.
