It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert "Bob" White, who departed this life on August 2, 2025, at the age of 83 in Louisville, Kentucky.
Robert was more than just a name; he was a deeply cherished husband, father, brother, papa, and friend. His joyful spirit illuminated the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know him. In his leisure time, Robert found immense happiness in golfing, bowling, motorcycling, and casting his line while fishing with dear friends. A proud custom car enthusiast, he took great joy in showcasing his beloved '57 Chevy truck. Robert and his wife, Shirley, were inseparable, relishing every moment spent outdoors camping and boating on the serene waters of Rough River Lake, surrounded by family and friends. Together, they embodied a love that was both outgoing and adventurous, and their family was the heart of their lives.
Robert's career spanned over three decades at General Electric, where he made lasting contributions before transitioning to a position at Avis Car Rental—a reflection of his fun-loving nature. His departure leaves a void that will be felt by all who experienced the simple pleasure of his company.
Born on December 18, 1941, in Cleveland, Ohio, Robert was the son of Joseph and Ann (Fiorino) White. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shirley; daughter, Robin; brother, Richard; stepmother, Rose; and stepsister, Helene.
His memory continues to live on through his loving daughters, Jennifer and Tina, his cherished grandchildren, Anna White and Eric Keith; his brother, Ronnie (Sharon) White; stepsister, Doris; and his furbaby, Tom the cat aka dog. A larger family of extended relatives and friends will carry his legacy in their hearts forever.
A visitation will be held on August 10, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, located at 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, Kentucky 40272.
