Robert A. White, known affectionately as Bobby, passed away on August 6, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on July 5, 1938, in Paterson, NJ, Bobby was a lifelong resident of Butler, where he dedicated 47 years of his life as a machinist at Marotta Scientific, earning a reputation as a skilled craftsman who took great pride in his work. A proud graduate of Butler High School, he carried the spirit of his hometown with him throughout his life.
Bobby was a warm, funny, and kind soul, deeply loved by his family. He had an innate ability to bring joy into every room he entered, always offering guidance and support to those around him. His dedication to his family was unyielding, and he cherished every moment spent with them, creating lasting memories that will be fondly remembered.
Bobby's passions extended beyond his career; he found immense joy in fishing, hunting, and gardening. His love for baseball was well-known, and he delighted in sharing these interests with his family. His heart was always in Butler, where he cherished the simple pleasures of life and the community that shaped him.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Yvonne, with whom he shared 67 wonderful years of marriage. Their bond was a beautiful example of love and commitment that weathered all seasons of life. Bobby is also survived by his son, Jeff, and daughter-in-law, Jenee, who hold dear the values and lessons he imparted. Additionally, he was a proud grandfather to Riley and Brayden, whose smiles brought him boundless joy and pride.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Emily White, whose love and guidance laid the foundation for the devoted man he became. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who loved him, and he will be dearly missed. As we remember Bobby, we celebrate a life filled with warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for family. His memory will continue to inspire those fortunate enough to have known him.
