Born and raised in Lykens, on August 2, 1957, a son of the late William L. White and Margaret A. Troxell White. He graduated from Upper Dauphin Area High School, Elizabethville, in 1975.
Robert retired with over 50 years of service with different water and sewage treatment plants. In 2022, he officially retired from GHD Engineering, a firm that built water and sewage treatment plants. He became an EMT and also became a paramedic which he ran as a volunteer.
He loved being a jack of all trades.
He attended the Mount Olivet United Methodist Church in Mechanicsburg. Bob loved camping, fly fishing, and spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara A. Ferree White of 41 years; two children, Erica Sahd (Joseph) of Manheim, and Eliza White of Mechanicsburg; two brothers, James White and William White; four grandsons and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2025 at 3:00 PM from Riverview Memorial Gardens, Halifax, with Pastor Jason Werrich officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Residential Hospice, 100 Sterling Parkway, Suite 110, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050, or Humane Society of Harrisburg Area, 7790 Grayson Rd, Harrisburg, PA 17111.
