Robert C. Wise

ELIZABETHVILLE - Robert Charles Wise, age 80, of Elizabethville, passed away Saturday, January 17, 2026.
Born on June 24, 1945, in Elizabethville, PA, he had a strong work ethic and was a retired farmer and truck driver. He drove truck for 42 years at North Penn Hide, Sunnydale Farms, and Roadway Express, and was a member of Teamsters since 1966.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Elaine (Whitcomb) Wise; his daughter, Deborah Snyder (Scott), his son, Robert Wise (Melissa); his grandchildren, Andrew Snyder (Jessica), Shaina Sato (Tsuyoshi), Casey Wise (Tori), Autumn Wise, and Nathan Wise; his beloved great grandchildren, Rylee, Blake, Colter, and Lucy; his brother, Steve (Irene); brother-in-law William Scheib; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Arlene (Koppenhaver) Wise; his father, Romain Wise; and his sister, Linda Scheib.
Bob enjoyed making people laugh, had many friends, and was respected by all who knew him. He lived a rich and full life. He played softball. He was a life member of Elizabethville and Berrysburg Fire Departments. He loved to hunt and fish, and enjoyed many years doing both. For a number of years, he owned a camp on the Susquehanna River. He was a life member of Short Mountain Gun Club and a founding member of the Camp Swamp Hole hunting camp.
Above all, he loved his family with all his heart, and loved spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was so proud of them all.Bob was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church of Loyalton.
In honoring Bob's wishes, the services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
