Robert DeMore Wood, Jr., 42, of Dallas, passed away at home on August 15, 2024. He was born June 6, 1982, in Gaston County, to mother, Trina (McCorkle) Barkley.
He is preceded in death by aunt, Gwen; great grandmother, Margaret.
Robert was a kind loving man that never met a stranger. He enjoyed celebrating with family and friends. He always said, “Tell people to have a blessed day and be good to others.” Robert adored his family and there was never a dull moment when he was around. He was full of life, and he had so much love to share with others. He would always put a smile on your face.
Left to cherish his memories are, wife of 8 years, Tosha Letterman Wood; daughters, Aleigha Glover (Colton), Summer Wallace (Dakota), Brianna Wood; mother, Trina Barkley (Andy); brothers, Brandon McCorkle, Darrius Pauling; grandmother, Gail Price (Al), numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm to 1:45 pm at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home on Saturday, August 24, 2024.
Robert’s Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 pm with Pastor Richie Doss officiating.
Inurnment will be with the family.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to the American Cancer Society.
