Roberta Sue Leach, affectionately known as Bobbi Sue, left this world on July 31, 2025, at the age of 64, in the comforting presence of her beloved family in Dayton, Ohio. Born on August 21, 1960, in Greenfield, Ohio, Roberta lived a life full of purpose and joy, which she devoted to her career, family, and passions.

As a nurse for 27 impactful years, Bobbi Sue's career culminated at Hospice of Dayton, where she retired in 2021. Graduating from Southern State Community College with an Associates in Nursing, followed by a Bachelor's in Nursing from Wright State University, she exemplified dedication and compassion every day in her vocation. Her colleagues and patients alike will remember her not only for her exemplary skills but also for her vibrant personality that lit up every room she entered. With a remarkable ability to charm, bring laughter, and share joy, her father often joked that she “could sell ice to an Eskimo.”

Bobbi Sue was the center of attention, never shying away from being the life of the party. She cherished her moments spent attending Dayton Bomber hockey games with her son Jeremy and made lifelong friends at Jimmy Buffet concerts throughout the country, where she proudly identified as a “parrot head.” Her interests expanded far beyond music; Bobbi Sue was also an accomplished card maker and enjoyed cruising in her beloved Jeep and Miata. These hobbies provided her with an avenue to channel her creativity and share her warmth with those around her.

Her family always stood as her proudest accomplishment. She is survived by her loving children Karol (Lavonne) Leach, Jeremy Leach, John (Tiffani) Leach, and Joseph (Michelle) Leach, who will forever carry her legacy in their hearts. Her grandchildren—Dominic (Kaitlyn) Carver, Daiton Leach, Branden Leach, and Benjamin Leach—along with her great-grandchildren Nova Rose Carver and Stella Carver, were the bright lights of her life, bringing her immense joy and fulfillment. Bobbi Sue is also survived by her siblings Pamila Jo Florea, Kathy Miller, and Sandy Dosch, and cherished her special friendships with Nancy Ferguson and Laura Schultz. Her fur babies, Tanner and Lincoln, were her constant companions, offering her love and comfort.

The memory of Roberta Sue Leach will forever resonate in the hearts of those she touched with her kindness, laughter, and unwavering spirit. She now joins her parents, Richard Cartwright and Karol Ferguson, who welcomed her home with open arms. As we remember Bobbi Sue, we celebrate a life well-lived—a life full of love, laughter, and countless beautiful memories that will be cherished for generations to come.

A celebration of life will be held in Bobbi Sue's memory at a future date.  Please check back for details.
