Roberta Buse Liebel

Roberta Buse Liebel passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on August 18th, 2025. Born on October 26, 1941, in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was affectionately nicknamed "Bobbie" by her beloved parents, Edward and Elizabeth Buse. Bobbie graduated from high school from Summit Academy School in Cincinnati before going on to study education at Edgecliff College, now Xavier University. On November 28, 1965, she married Bill Liebel. Together, they built a beautiful life, relocating to Sarasota in 1981. Bobbie was a devoted wife to her husband, Bill Liebel, and a loving mother to their four sons. She was a guiding presence in their lives, committed to their education and faith. She served tirelessly at St Martha School and Parish, volunteering in countless roles over the years with grace and generosity. Her greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her husband Bill, their four sons, and nine grandchildren: • Chris Liebel, and his children, Grace and Chris • Steven and Ashlee Liebel, and their children, Todd, Bryce, Bryce's husband, John, and Paige • Scott and Kelly Liebel, and their children, Matthew and Alex • Mark and Karen Liebel, and their children Kaitlyn and Emily A funeral mass celebrating Bobbie's life will be held at Saint Martha Catholic Church on September 2 at 10:00 am. Interment will be private. In place of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to Tidewell Hospice on Rand Blvd, Sarasota. Bobbie's kindness, strength, and devotion touched many lives. Her warm smile left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
