Roberta B. Vigil

Roberta B. Vigil, a beloved daughter, mother, sister, and aunt, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was the cherished daughter of Juan Carlos and Mary Ann Lozano.
Roberta was a devoted and loving mother to her son, Estevan Villalba, who was the light of her life. Her greatest joy came from watching him grow, celebrating his achievements, and supporting him through every challenge. Roberta was endlessly proud of the young man Estevan has become-the kindness, strength, and determination he carries are a reflection of her love and guidance. Her devotion to him was unconditional and everlasting; Estevan was her heart, her purpose, and her greatest accomplishment.
She is also survived by her sister Loriann Vigil and brother Ruben Lozano, as well as her nieces and nephews, Briana Gomez (Chris Naranjo), Savannah Gomez, Ruben Jr., and Ethan Lozano. She was also a proud great-aunt to Elaycia Naranjo.
Roberta also had a very special place in her heart for her nephew, Javier Gomez Jr. She loved him deeply and treated him as if he were her own son. Their bond was filled with laughter, warmth, and countless shared memories. Her love for him showed in the way she always made sure he was taken care of, fed, and supported, no matter how busy or tired she was. To Roberta, Javier wasn't just family; he was one of the biggest joys of her life, and she was endlessly proud of the person he became.
Roberta was known for her kind heart, generosity, and deep devotion to her family. She had a special way of caring for others, always the one waiting for her nieces and nephews to come home from school, making sure they were fed, safe, and happy. Her home was a place of warmth and laughter, where everyone felt loved and welcomed.
She will be remembered for her compassion, humor, and the love she shared so freely with those around her.
Pallbearers honoring Roberta's life will be her beloved son Esteven Villalba, Javier Gomez Jr., Ruben Jr. & Ethan Lozano, Chris Naranjo, and Derrick Vigil.
Roberta will forever be remembered for her nurturing spirit, her unconditional love, and the lasting impact she leaves in the hearts of all who knew her.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, November 6th, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., followed by the recitation of the Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at La Paz-Graham's Funeral Home, 555 W. Amador Ave., Las Cruces, NM. A Funeral Mass celebrating her life will take place on Friday, November 7th, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 125 Mesquite Dr., Mesquite, NM.
