Robin R. (Emery) Cassista, 69, of Longmeadow, passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at Baystate Medical Center. Robin was born in Springfield, Massachusetts on February 5, 1956, to the late Robert and Ruth (Brouillet) Emery. Robin was a graduate of Longmeadow High School, Class of 1974. Robin was a waitress for many years at Rinaldi's Restaurant in Longmeadow, MA. Robin made many long-lasting friendships over the years and loved seeing her regular customers stop in. Her favorite times were spent at the beach with her family in both Cape Cod, Massachusetts and Westerly, Rhode Island. She fiercely loved her family, friends, and her community. She was the definition of selfless and spent much of her life taking care of those she loved. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased her brother Roderic Emery, and her sister-in-law Diane (Keddy) Petitt. She is survived by her true love, her husband of forty-three years of Gary Cassista of Longmeadow, her devoted children Lisa Garcia and her husband Michael of Colchester, Connecticut., Gary Cassista of Longmeadow, Nicole Cassista of Longmeadow, Emanuel Rodriguez of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and her two adored granddaughters Journey and Eleanor. She also leaves her brothers Dr. Robert Emery and his wife Ann of Tucson, Arizona, Richard Emery and his wife Ashley of St. James City, Florida, Ross Emery of Longmeadow, Roy Emery of Nassau, Bahamas and her two sisters Rebecca Fleming and her husband Kevan of Weirsdale, Florida, and Rachel Emery of Longmeadow, and many cherished nieces and nephews. Family and friends will gather and remember Robin on Thursday, March 27, 2025, from 4pm - 6pm at the Byron Keenan Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen Street, Springfield, MA, 01118. Burial will be private at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in Robin's memory to Autism Speaks https://donate.autismspeaks.org.
