Shelby: Robin Lee Connor, 64, of Shelby, NC beloved mother of two children, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at home surrounded by family after a short battle with cancer, leaving a void her family cannot fill.
Robin was born in Henderson, NC in 1961 to Linwood George Lee and Deloris Ann Proie. Initially started her career working in retail at Food Lion for 25 years. After receiving her GED, she attended Cleveland Community College and received Radiography Technician Certificate, going to work at CaroMont Regional Medical Center for 20 years. She finished her career as a travel Radiography Technician before retiring in 2022.
She met the love of her life Michael Warren Connor and later married in 1998.
Robin was a devoted mother to Amy G Blalock and Jeremy S Guerrant, her pride and joy. She always said their birth changed her life for the better, and they felt that in the love and support she provided. Robin took special joy in her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She cherished her free time with crafting, sewing, and making sure everyone around her was taken care of in every aspect of life. (donating needed supplies to schools, hospitals, assisted living facilities)
Robin was preceded in death by the love of her life Michael Warren Connor, parents Linwood George Lee and Deloris Ann Proie, brother Linwood George Lee III (Lynn), and is survived by her children Amy G Blalock (Jon) and Jeremy S Guerrant (Barbara), sisters Susan L Lingo, Vickie L Sharp, Lorna L White, Shelli L Wright, brother Brian J Lee.
Grandchildren: Olivia Blalock, Sarah Blalock Davis (Patrick), Lillian Blalock, Matthew Guerrant, Atreyu Guerrant, Lucas Guerrant, Ryken Guerrant Gordon, Valen Gordon (Guerrant), and Honorary granddaughter Cheyanne Reynolds Great Grandchildren: Ophelia Davis, Valerie Jeffries, Troy Jeffries
All of whom will never forget the love she brought to their lives.
Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, June 13, 2025 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home, 1401 West Dixon Boulevard, Shelby, NC 28152.
Visitation for family and friends will be starting at 1:00 pm Friday, June 13, 2025 at the funeral home.
Aquamation services are entrusted to Clay-Barnette Funeral Home & Aquamation Center
