Robin M. DeVerna, of Oregon, OH passed away suddenly on July 22nd, 2025 at her home. Robin was born in Toledo, OH on November 9th, 1952 to the late Esther (Davison) and Leonard Romans. Robin graduated from Bowsher High School in 1970 and graduated from the police academy at Owens Community College in 1986. Afterwards she worked various security jobs.
Robin enjoyed camping at Wild Wings Campground in Oak Harbor, OH, and spending time with her friends floating on the pond. In addition to the campground, she enjoyed spending the winter months at her home in Inverness, Florida, where Robin and her late husband, Jim, would spend their time relaxing at the beach, fishing off their boat, and having drinks with friends. Robin had many sheltie dogs over the years, with the latest two being Ellie Mae and Maggie Rose. Her dogs were her world and they will miss her dearly.
Robin is preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years James “Jim” DeVerna. Her parents Esther and Leonard Romans, and her brother Charles (Rick) Romans. She is survived by her two sons Brian and Ben DeVerna; Four granddaughters, Britney, Olivia, Hailey, and Kelcee; One grandson, Stephen; four great grandsons, Javier, Jaxon, Lamont, and Lamar; many nieces and nephews; many cousins in the Davison and Rominski families; and all of her friends in Ohio and Florida. She will be deeply missed.
Cremation with care is under the direction of Freck Funeral Chapel in Oregon, OH. Information for a celebration of Robin’s life will come at a later date.
