Robin Renee Riggsby

ROBIN RENEE RIGGSBY, 69, of Oakwood, VA, passed away Monday, September 22, 2025, at the Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, KY. Born in Grundy, VA, she was the daughter of Rachel (Smith) Riggsby of Harman, VA, and the late Beager Riggsby. She was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was a member of Grundy Church of Christ. After graduating from Grundy Senior High School, she went on to receive her bachelor's from Virginia Tech. She was especially noted among her colleagues, friends and family for her knowledge and understanding of computers and the complex world of technology, and her willingness to share these skills with others. She also shared her talent as a pianist and passed this on to her daughter who is also a skilled musician. Robin retired after many years teaching at Garden and Twin Valley High Schools.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Arthur and Drucie Smith; paternal grandparents, Fred and Georgia Riggsby.
Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Rachel (Smith) Riggsby of Harman, VA; Daughter: Hannah Renee Lee (Ross Monroe) of Brooklyn, NY; Devoted Life Partner: T.D. Lee of Oakwood, VA; Brother: Zane (Debbie) Riggsby of Roanoke, VA; Sister: Regina (Clifton) Carson of Wise, VA; Nieces: Katie (Matthew) Sturgill, Morgan (Kameron) Duty, Ashley (Alex) Adams and Taylor Cook; Sister-in-Law: Sherry Lee (Randall) Cook; Brother-in-Law: Richie (Karen) Lee.
Visitation will be held Friday from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral Services for ROBIN RENEE RIGGSBY will be conducted Friday, September 26, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Evg. Dennis Wimmer and Pastor Mike Rife officiating with burial to follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens, Claypool Hill, VA.
Active Pallbearers will be Ross Monroe, Clifton Carson, Matthew Sturgill, Brett Bozzer, Richie Lee and Wyatt Fitzwater.
