Robin Siegel Tyde

Robin Siegel Tyde passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 25, 2024. She was 75 years of age and a long-time resident of Ormond Beach.
On July 18, 1948, Robin was born in Los Angeles, CA – Mother, Marion Fontaine Estes and Father, Robert Brooks Siegel. She had a brother Robert Brooks Siegel and a half sister Catherine Siegel Bustichi. Robin was raised on a farm in Illinois before she moved to New York. While in New York, Robin graduated from Hunter College with a B.A. in Fine Arts History in 1979 and skillfully painted architectural abstract drawings. It was here she married her first husband Michael J. Troy and traveled the world.
She moved to Florida in the 80's where she began her love of the beach, roller skating, and surfing. Robin married a second time to Richard Donald Tyde and had a son Richard (Rip) Siegel Tyde.
Later, Robin found her sense of freedom and fondness for motorcycle riding. During this time, she met Paul Hatto, whom she endearingly called her husband and lived with for seventeen years. They enjoyed motorcycle riding, gourmet meals, beach walking and gardening together. When Paul gave up his motorcycle, Robin continued her passion into her retirement years and joined many motorcycle riding groups. She enjoyed history, ancestry, and talking to people. She was a smart, lively, social 4'11" spitfire. "Give me liberty or give me death!"
Robin is survived by her husband Paul Hatto; son Richard Siegel Tyde; grandson Reef Simmons Tyde; brother Robert Brooks Siegel; sister Catherine Siegel Bustichi; and daughter-in-law Bonnie Roos Tyde. Funeral services will be held at Dale Woodward funeral home in Ormond by the Sea on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 11a.mThe family asks that in lieu of flowers a donation to Paul Hatto's go fund me page be made for expenses.
