Rodney S. Andrews, 91, died on August 13, 2025, in Round Rock, TX with family nearby. Rodney was born in Endicott, NY, the son of Elmer L. Andrews and Helen J. Andrews. Rodney graduated from Union Endicott High School in 1951 where he met his wife of 67 years Mary Ann (Polasek) Andrews who survives, along with his daughters and sons-in-law, Renee and Frank Petsche of Round Rock, TX and Michelle and Curtis Haas of Spencerport, NY.

Their son Robert L. Andrews of Woodstock NY predeceased him.

He was a much-loved grandfather to Jessica Loeffler of Buffalo NY, Kristin Woodring of Fairport NY, Katherine Lyon of Round Rock TX, and Steven Petsche of Irvine CA, as well as a wonderful great-grandfather to four great grandsons and three great granddaughters who will miss him every day.

He will be remembered for his love of life, music, jokes, and sports. He was an avid woodworker and loved to tinker, as he was always "fixing" something.

Rodney had a lengthy career at IBM Endicott NY as a technician and Kingston NY as a manager for over 37 years, receiving the Thomas J. Watson Presidential Award and was a US Army veteran receiving a sharpshooter medal. After retirement, Rodney researched his ancestry and became the President of the Sons of the American Revolution Columbia Mid-Hudson Valley chapter receiving the Patriot Medal, the New York state SAR highest award for outstanding contribution to his chapter. He was an usher at St. John's Church in West Hurley, NY before moving to Round Rock, TX in 2018 to be nearer to family.

Arrangements are with Beck Funeral Homes in Cedar Park, TX and a family memorial to inter his ashes at the family plot in Riverhurst Cemetery in Endicott, NY will be announced at a future date.
