Rodney Alan Boyd, 54, of Mustang, Oklahoma, passed away suddenly on Monday, January 26, 2026. Born in Ottawa, Kansas, to Wayne and Dorothy Boyd. Rodney lived a life marked by service, skill, and a deep devotion to family. He was a Navy Seabee, a Reverend, and a talented HVAC technician. He found joy in fishing, camping, riding motorcycles—and most of all, in spending time with those he loved.
Rodney is survived by his wife of 28 years, Rebekah Boyd of Mustang, Oklahoma; his children Jazzmond Piro, Chris and Katt Jones, Tegan and Eddie Loya, Cassie and Keegan Kennedy, Ryder Boyd, Rusty Boyd and Sarah Patkowski. He was a proud PaPa to Emma, Lily, Daron, and Nora Jones; Rosalind Loya; Karter and Grayson Boyd; and Lainey Kennedy.
He leaves behind his siblings, Cindy and Richard Smith, Chuck Smith, and Lori and Russell Porter; as well as nieces and nephews Levi and Kyla Trimmell, Casey Porter, Cade Porter, Brandon Smith, Ashley Smith, Jason and Angela Bartlett, Justin Bartlett, Seth Bartlett, Amber Bartlett, Shelby Smith, and Bailey Smith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Dorothy Boyd, and his brothers Danny Boyd, David Boyd, and Jimmey Bartlett.
A celebration of Rodney’s life and the love he shared with family and friends will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Corbett Funeral Home and Cremation, 807 W. Wilshire Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK 73116. A smaller graveside service will follow in Blue Mound, Kansas, on Sunday, March 1, 2026.
Military honors will be provided by the American Legion Honor Guard, Post #353.
