Rodney Patton Obituary
Rodney Wayne Patton, age 55, of Marion, Illinois, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2023 at his home in Marion, Illinois.
Rodney was born June 07, 1968 in Marion, Illinois, a son of Jon and Dorothy Jane (Schofield) Patton. He married the love of his life, Shea Lynette Simmons on September 21, 1996 in Marion at the Church of God. Rodney had worked as an automotive technician at the Absher-Arnold dealership in Marion for more than 30 years.
He is survived by his wife- Shea Lynette (Simmons) Patton of Marion, IL; father-in-law- John David Simmons; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Darrin and Lori Simmons, niece- Cierra Jayne Simmons, niece- Peyton Alexis Simmons, brother- Jonathan (Tina) Patton; sister-in-law- Melanie Patton; and nephew Corey Patton. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Kaleigh Jane Patton; his parents, Jon L. Patton and Dorothy Jane (Schofield) Patton, mother-in-law, Linda Lou Simmons; one brother, Mark Allen Patton; and his niece, Addison Grace Simmons.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 27th, 2023 from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM at Blue Funeral Home in Marion. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 27, 2023, 2:00 PM at Blue Funeral Home in Marion. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion.
