Roger Duane Anderson, 81, of Dilworth, MN, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, in his home in Dilworth, under the care of hospice.
Roger was born on September 15, 1942, to Herman and Orva (Sheer) Anderson in Clarkfield, MN. He grew up in Pelican Rapids, MN, in the resort his parents owned and operated. He attended schools in Pelican Rapids and graduated from Dilworth High School. After high school, he began working for his father at his grocery store for a few years before working at the butcher shop. Roger was a big fan of the MN Twins and the Vikings, enjoyed shooting pool, and loved to go hunting and fishing, partaking in many Canada fishing trips. He loved traveling to Jamaica so much he made three trips, enjoying the authentic local pina coladas. It was a big dream of Rogers to fly in a P51 Mustang, a dream which was achieved nearly five years ago which was a story he was excited to share with everyone. He was proud of his 1952 Higgins boat and loved to take it out on Star Lake near Dent, MN, where he loved to spend most of his time surrounded by his family and friends.
