Roger "Don" Farmer, 71 of Bella Vista, passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers. He was born May 11, 1954, in Harrison, Arkansas, to William Otis Farmer and Goldie Irene Collins Farmer, and raised along the Buffalo River. Being born in Harrison, Arkansas, Don had an avid love for the outdoors, which he instilled in his children and grandchildren. He loved fishing and hunting for everything from deer to mushrooms. He loved working his garden, particularly with his grandkids and showing off his burgundy okra, white squash, and tomatoes. He enjoyed working with his hands and was a gifted mason, creating many beautiful stone fireplaces and fences throughout the area. He was also skilled at leatherwork, creating beautiful pieces that are now treasured heirlooms. Don enjoyed life, adventure, NASCAR, and was proud of seeing all the "good bands". He had a genuine love for people and never met a stranger. He is loved and will be missed. His family looks forward to the day when they meet again. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Arlis Graham, and one sister, Denise Jones. Survivors include his wife, Carol of Bella Vista, one daughter, Terae Reader and husband George of Bella Vista, two sons, Jeremy Farmer and wife Sarah of Bentonville, and Cory Farmer, his grandchildren, Ronan and Corvin Reader and Aubrey and Emerson Farmer and Ethan Arnwine; one brother, Dale Farmer and wife Brenda and one sister, Delores Overton and husband Steve. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, August 30th, at 1 PM at Lifestyles Stensgaard Center–located at 2590 W Sycamore St., Fayetteville, AR 72703. A Celebration of Life Luncheon will immediately follow the service. Online condolences may be left at www.siscofuneral.com.
