Bobby Thurman Johnson

On August 25, 2025, Bobby Thurman Johnson of Springdale, AR, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family. He was born June 5, 1940, in Springdale, AR, to Thurman and Ruby Johnson. Bobby was a true family man. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and a cherished grandfather and great-grandfather. He took great pride in being the patriarch of his family, always leading with love and humility. Bobby was known for his genuine sincerity and kindness to everyone he met-qualities that left a lasting impact on all who knew him. A lifelong resident of Springdale, he developed a strong work ethic at an early age-one that shaped his character and remained constant throughout his life. Over the years, Bobby worked in a variety of roles, including driving for Jones Truck Line, hauling fuel for Fuels and Supply, working at Parsons Feed Store, and cattle farming. Most notably, he spent 12 years as a car salesman at Mazda before going on to own and operate his own used car lot. Regardless of the job, he approached his work with integrity, dedication, and a warm, personable nature that earned him not only respect, but meaningful, lasting relationships. Guided by his strong Christian faith, Bobby lived a life defined by honesty, compassion, and unwavering love-a legacy that will be deeply cherished by his family and all who knew him. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sandra; and his two brothers, Lloyd Johnson and Lenard Johnson. Bobby will be lovingly remembered and missed by his family: daughters, Holly Baker and husband Dwayne, Jennifer Swearingen and husband Daryl; granddaughters Cheyenne Priest and husband Chris, Baylea Jacob and husband Michael; his 5 precious great grandchildren, Brooks and Blakely Priest and Aubree, Michael Jr. and Londyn Jacob; his nieces and nephews; and many dear friends. Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, August 29, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Sisco Chapel, located at 705 West Meadow, Springdale, AR. A celebration of life officiated by Pastor Ken Eden will be held on Saturday, August 30, at 10:00 AM at Revival Tabernacle Church, located at 2608 E Emma, Springdale, AR, with an interment to follow at Friendship Cemetery in Springdale.
