Roger R. Fiste, 81, of Plainfield, passed away September 19, 2023. He was born August 20, 1942 to the late Roland and Etta (Schlund) Fiste in Princeton, IL. Roger was an US Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of the St. Susanna Catholic Church. Roger worked for the Department of Defense in Indianapolis as a procurement officer for 36 years retiring in 1998. He is survived by his wife, Judith A. (Hansen) Fiste; a son, Eric Fiste and a step-son Darrin M. (Shannon) McGuire; a daughter, Jennifer Hoffmeyer; a step-daughter, Tammy A. (Tony) Hull; a sister, Carolyn Barkley; and 12 grandchildren. A graveside service with military honors will be at 11:00 am Sunday, October 22, 2023 in the White Lick Cemetery, 13440 White Lick Road, Mooresville. A reception will follow at 12 noon at the Brownsburg American Legion, 636 E. Main St., Brownsburg, IN 46112.
