Roger Dale Hopwood 79 of Bingham passed away Nov. 1, 2022 at Montgomery Nursing and Rehab.
He was born Dec. 26, 1942 in Fillmore IL to Clarence and Pauline Hopwood.
He attended Fillmore Grade school and a graduate of Nokomis High School. He served in the US Navy during Vietnam. He was a member of the Fillmore United Methodist church and Am-Vets of Nokomis, he was commander from 91-92
He is survived by one son Jeff (Michelle) Hopwood of Canton IL and one daughter Paula Hopwood of Lewistown Il and 3 grandchildren Amy Showens, Heather Hopwood and Cody Heckart and 7 great grandchildren, also surviving are siblings Verla Casey, Larry Hopwood, Verna Bruns and Linda Yount.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Winean, Donald, Danny and Randy.
Memorials can be directed to Glendale Cemetery in Fillmore.
Grave side memorial services will be Saturday Nov. 12, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Glendale Cemetery in Fillmore

Jeff, Paula, Heather, Amy & Cody,
I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. While I never knew your father/grandfather I have the highest regard for our Vietnam Veterans. He had to have been a really stand-up guy. Keeping you all in my thoughts.
