Roger M. Koster, 66, of Argonia, died Sunday, January 19, 2025 at his home.
Cremation effected. There will be no service per Roger's request.
He was born April 16, 1958 at Wichita, Kansas the oldest son of Marvin Fred Koster and Jeanice Margaret (Berns) Koster. Roger attended school in Wichita before moving with his family to Viola and later to Conway Springs in 1972. He attended Conway Springs High School and graduated with the class of 1976.
Roger was united in marriage to Geri Lynn Zoglmann in 1977 at Conway Springs, Kansas. To this marriage two sons: Jarrod and Jeffery were born. The family made their home in Conway Springs.
Roger custom harvested with Jerome Heimerman several years before working in other farm related capacities. He later became an over the road truck driver for Doll's, Lange's and TQ Logistics. Roger later drove for over one million miles in the lower 48 United States for Occidental Chemical Corporation. He retired in 2020.
Roger was later united in marriage to Nelda Jean (Meyer) Houston Koster on October 30, 1987 at Miami, Oklahoma. The couple made their home in the Milan/Argonia area their entire married life where they enjoyed farming and raising cattle. Jean passed away June 30, 2021.
Roger was a member of the Argonia Bible Church, Argonia, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his father; one son Jeffery Koster; two great grandchildren: Isaiah Eldon Ivan Green and Danae Breonne Green.
Roger is survived by one son Jarrod Koster of Conway Springs, Kansas; his mother Jeanice Boody of Wichita, Kansas; one brother Tim Koster of Conway Springs, Kansas; one sister Tammy Finn of Houston, Texas; one step-son Jeff Houston of Wellington, Kansas; one step-daughter Tracy Wescoat of Arkansas City, Kansas; numerus grandchildren and great grandchildren and a number of other relatives and friends.
