Roger Dale Moore, husband of Johnna Gibson Moore and son of the late Bedford Moore and Erma Boothe Moore Hatton was born in Campton, Kentucky on February 23, 1967 and went to be with the Lord surrounded by his wife and family at his home in Beattyville, Kentucky on August 7, 2025.

Roger is survived by his wife, Johnna Gibson Moore; sisters, Zina (Steve) Gibson, Charlena Witt, Sharon (Vernon) Asher, Tena (Russell) McIntosh, Glenna (Jack) Goins; one brother, Billy (Frances) Hatton; step children, Naomi McPherson, Necie (Chris) Collins, Tyler (Taylor) Murphy, Halea (Taran) Witt, Kara (Derek) Murphy, and Christa (Joseph) Wahtstrom; his grandchildren, John Johnson, Latoya Kennedy, Hailey (Evan) Fox, Celena (Jesse) Dean, Brandon (Olivia) McPherson, Tynsley, Annastyn, Isla, Taytym, Ty Walker Murphy, Savannah, Brantley, Bradley, Everett, and Averea Mink; 15 great grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Linda Essie Moore.

Roger was a dedicated employee of Lee County Wood Products for 32 ½ years, President of Lee County Shriners for 2 years, and Junior Warden of the Masonic Proctor Lodge 213. Roger will be sorely missed by all that knew and loved him.

Junior Smallwood, Stanley Durbin, Conard Liesegang, Billy Hatton, Kevin Fields, and Evan Fox will be serving as pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers include Chris Collins, Lee & Estill Wood Products, Gary Ballard, Masonic Lodge #213, and Lee County Shriners.
