It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Roger Brandt Troutman, who peacefully departed this life on November 28, 2024, at the age of 78.
Born on March 21, 1946, in San Francisco, California, Roger lived a life full of love, dedication, and purpose. Known for his kindness, sharp wit, unwavering strength, and a great love for God, family, and his Country whom he served in Vietnam as a United States Marine.
Roger chose a career as an insurance agent and broker, dedicating decades to helping others safeguard their futures. His professionalism, trustworthiness, and commitment to his clients earned him the respect and admiration of many.
Outside of his professional life, Roger had a lifelong passion for golf, music, especially playing the trumpet, giving back to Veterans with more than 1000 hours of service to the Veterans Health Administration facility in Yorba Linda. He also served with Semper Fi #1 Memorial Honor Detail from 2008-2024 All were-a cherished part of his life.
Roger is survived by his loving 2nd wife Sheryl Ann Cook Troutman of 42 years, His Son Jeffrey M (Nickole) Troutman from his first marriage with Patricia Ann Rudolph, 6 Grandsons, 3 Granddaughters, and 2 great grandchildren.
Roger's wisdom, love, and the cherished memories he created with his sons, grandchildren, and extended family will live on forever. He was preceded in death by his Parents Donald and Nola Troutman, his Son Christopher B Troutman from his first marriage, Son Matthew Troutman from his second marriage.
A graveside service will take place on December 19, 2024, at the Riverside National Cemetery, beginning at 10:30am. Friends, family, and all who were touched by Roger's presence are warmly invited to attend.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to Veterans of Foreign Wars or the Wounded Warrior Project in his honor, supporting a cause close to Roger's heart.
Though he is no longer with us, Roger's legacy will endure in the hearts of all who loved him. May he rest in eternal peace.
