Roger Watts, age 64, passed away on January 1, 2026, in Jacksonville, Florida.
Roger was born on May 30, 1961, in Mishawaka, Indiana, to Robert Lloyd Watts and Jean Pryor-Watts. He graduated from Penn High School in 1980 and went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Navy. Enlisting in 1982, Roger worked as a Gas Turbine Systems Technician until his honorable discharge in 1988.
Roger was a loving and devoted husband to his wife of 40 years, Hope Watts, and a proud father to his two daughters, Courtney McMurray and Jennifer Watts. His family was the center of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
Roger had many passions, including fishing, hunting, and woodworking-interests he especially enjoyed sharing with his friends and family. He was known for his infectious personality, warm spirit and generous heart. Roger had a rare gift for making people feel instantly welcome, and he left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
He is survived by his wife, Hope Watts; daughters, Courtney McMurray and Jennifer Watts; brother, Chris Watts; sisters, Karen Dunn, Debra Brown, and Terri Briner; along with many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will miss him beyond measure. He was preceded in death by his sister, Robin Watts Hessner.
