Roger Whitaker, Age 73, passed away on May 14, 2024, in Lake Wales, FL. Roger was born on February 20, 1951, in Moultrie, GA. Roger was drafted into the US Army in 1971, where he served for the next 21 years before he retired. After retirement from the military, he helped build the Florida Highways to what we see today. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt. Roger is preceded in death by his son, Rodney Dale Whitaker.
Roger is survived by his wife of 53 years, Kandice Whitaker; two sons, Robert Whitaker and Frank Rodriguez; seven grandchildren, Corey, Destiny, Casey, Hunter, Brianna, Angelina, and Kiana; 1 great grandson, Waylen; six siblings.
Family will receive friends from 6-7pm with a funeral service starting at 7pm on Friday, May 17, 2024, at Turning Point Worship Center at 1400 E Georgia Street, Bartow.
