He was born on January 24, 1956 in Heidelberg, Germany to George L. and Elenore (Ewald) Haseker, Jr.
Ron graduated from Marion High School in the Class of 1974.
He was an excellent musician and taught music and played in bands for many years. Ron was also an outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was very gifted on working with computers and also enjoyed woodworking. He previously had a business of refinishing furniture.
Survivors include his brothers, Mike Haseker of Johnston City, IL, Phil Haseker of Wisconsin, and James Haseker of North Carolina; sisters, Michele Otto of Crab Orchard, and Ellen McCain; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home, 900 North Court Street, Marion, IL.
In accordance with his wishes, no public services will be held at this time.
For those who prefer, the family suggests memorial contributions be directed to "Finding Forever Animal Rescue." Contribution envelopes will be available at the funeral home or may be mailed c/o Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home, 900 North Court Street, Marion, IL 62959.

I wanted to offer my condolences to the family. I just saw this and am so sorry. I used to play in a band called Tega with Ron back in the mid seventies. He was indeed a talented guy and I always enjoyed him. I used to visit with him from time to time in his working at Byassee's years and we had some good "catch ups". I talked with him on the phone a couple times after that but had just lost touch with him. I won't forget him. May the Lord bless you family.
