Ronald Ray Brown

Ron Brown, 71, from Sun City Grand went to be with the Lord and other loved ones on November 23, 2024. Ron was born to Henry Brown and Virginia Cottrill in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Graduated from Putnam City high school in 1971 and at that time had already started his entrepreneurial spirit by being the "Donut Man" selling donuts in the hallway before classes and a Fuller Brush salesman in the afternoon and evenings. He also attended Central State University in Edmond, Oklahoma. His first marriage was to Carol Sue Booze in 1975 and second marriage to Gayla Sue Chronic in 2000. Ron had a lifelong love of cars and one of his favorite patio activities was listening to music and watching cars go by. His careers in Oklahoma included working for Pacesetter, owning his own "Slots of Fun" location for slot car races, originating and developing a sales team for Star Jet logging and perforating company, and a general contractor. After moving to Arizona in 2010, he made many friends through playing tennis, golf, joining the Prides and Briarwood Country Club and his work as a Realtor. He is survived by his wife, Gayla;his son Robert Brown and wife Jennifer; daughter Kimberly Brown and husband Steve; son Dustin Brown; step-son Dennis Harper and wife Heather; step-son Brad Harper and wife Jamie; a total of 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, a sister Linda Ansari and husband Mansour, and nephew Marcus Roane and wife Dalena, and his spoiled princess dog, Sasha. Ron was predeceased by his father, Henry; mother, Virginia; father-in-law, Paul, and mother-in-law Colleen.
