Ronald C. Busdiecker, 88, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2024, in Broadview Hts, OH.
Ron was born March 7, 1936, in Cleveland, and lived a fulfilling life in Euclid for over 50 years.
He had a long career at Cleveland Twist Drill, finally retiring from Ohio Broach in 2000.
Ron adored his wife of 68 years, Jan, along with his family and would light up anytime he was with them. He was well known for his beautiful woodworking skills; creating kaleidoscopes, ornaments, wood bowls, cradles, and intricate jewelry boxes. He also enjoyed making stained glass lamps and growing gorgeous hydrangeas and other flowering plants. He had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed teasing his family with complicated gift wrapping and sharing his creative works with others! He was well loved and will be greatly missed.
He was the beloved husband of Janice C. (nee Mackey) Busdiecker; loving father of Kevin W. (Debbie) Busdiecker, Eileen S. (Dennis) Clarke, Karen L. (Tom) Legerski, Lisa A. (Mike) Ziegler; cherished grandfather of Kathleen, Kevin, Eric, Jessica, Kristen, David, Kelsey, Rachael and Kaylin; as well as great-grandfather to Tyler, Ava, Parker, August, Colin, Penelope, Hudson, Clarke, Dean, Hadley, Caden, and Levi plus one on the way; brother to Wayne (Sue) Busdiecker.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents Clair and Elinor (nee Scott) Busdiecker.
Family will receive friends from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, at The Abbey of Willoughby (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), 38011 Euclid Ave., in Willoughby, with a Funeral Service at 11:30 a.m. Burial to follow at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Twp.
