Ronald Eugene "Ronnie" Combest, 60, of North Vernon, passed away at 12:23 a.m. on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana in Columbus.
Born March 14, 1962, in Seymour, he was the son of the late Eugene and Dorothy (Lacey) Combest.
Ronnie was a member of Rush Branch United Methodist Church in Jennings County. He enjoyed collecting coins, fishing, camping, and traveling. Ronnie loved spending time and playing with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughter, Echo (Jared) Imlay of North Vernon; sisters, Diana (Robert) Waltermire, Donna (Wayne) Moore and Joyce (Jeff) Morrison, all of North Vernon; grandchildren, Jayden Imlay, Bentley Stearns and Dalton Stearns; and step-grandchild, Jared Imlay II.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Chad Stearns.
In keeping with his and his family's wishes, cremation is planned with no services at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.
Memorials in honor of Ronnie may be made through the funeral home to the Wounded Warrior Project or American Heart Association.
