Obituary of Ronald Drylie
Ronald (Ron) R. Drylie, 73, of Bolivar, Pennsylvania left this world suddenly on Saturday, October 11, 2025. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed. He was born on December 13, 1951, in Greensburg, son of the late Violet Anderson Drylie and Robert E. Drylie. He grew up in Irwin and attended Norwin High School where he was a star basketball player. He was preceded in death by sister Sandee Gentile, brother Richard Drylie, and daughter Dacia Drylie. Ron was a proud Vietnam veteran and served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1969-1973.
He is survived by his younger brother Thomas (Sandy Shepherd) Drylie, children Angela Drylie, Jolene Dames, Josh (Dana) Drylie, Brianna Drylie, Chance (Shelby) Drylie, Alysia (John Mayhue) Drylie, grandsons Levi Drylie, Joe Free, and Jake Free, his cat Boots, and numerous fur-grandbabies.
Ron continued in his family tradition of being a carpenter throughout his life and was a hard worker and provider who loved his family fiercely. He was a lover of the outdoors, hunting, and fishing and was a lifelong musician, playing in various bands throughout his life. He passed his passion and talent for music down to his children. He loved doing anything as long as it involved his grandson, his little "Stinker," Levi, and his countless pets he had throughout the years.
A private viewing will be held, and Ron will enter eternal rest through cremation. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to your local animal shelter or veterans' organization. Arrangements in Care of Stuart Funeral Home, New Florence.
