Ronald Eisenhuth Obituary

Visit the Smith-Corcoran Chicago Funeral Home website to view the full obituary.
Ronald G. Eisenhuth, 78, of Chicago, Illinois and Weston, Florida passed away on October 21, 2025. Beloved son of the late George and Anita. Loving brother to the late Barbara Johnson. Cherished uncle to Susan Dickerson, Andrew Johnson and the late David Johnson and great-uncle to many. Ronald will be missed by many friends and family and his two dogs - Nester and Lunde. He will be especially missed by his neighbors in Brynford Park, Chicago and Weston, Florida. Ron was an Air Force veteran and retired Illinois State Police Officer. He loved animals and always had a remarkable sense of humor. Born and raised in Chicago, Ron carried the spirit of the city in everything he did - loyal, tough, and full of heart.

A lifelong sports fan of football, baseball and hockey, Ron's love for these games ran deep. Whether cheering on the Bears, Blackhawks, Marlins, Dolphins or Panthers was a way of life for him. He found joy in the sound of the games and the shared excitement of watching them with his friends. His biggest wish the last few years was for the Panthers to win the Stanley Cup. Not only was his wish granted once but twice. From watching the traditional handshakes at center ice by the players to the Championship parades he was all smiles and so happy. The group of friends he made at the games, cherished the time with him at the events themselves or the meals they would have together before or after.

Ron will be remembered for his humor, kindness, and unwavering loyalty to those he loved. He had a knack for bringing people together - whether it was a game night, a neighborhood cookout, or just a conversation that made you laugh. His warmth, quick wit, and generous spirit touched everyone who he came in contact with.

Ron will be missed deeply - but his laughter, love, and legacy will live on in every friend who shares a story, every game-day cheer, and every moment of joy relating to these teams.

As he would say, this is not goodbye - it's see you later, alligator! Monday, October 27 visitation 4-8pm at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 6150 N Cicero Ave., Chicago, Illinois 60646. Tuesday, October 28 Chapel prayers 10:15am processing to Edison Park Lutheran Church, 6626 N Oliphant Ave, Chicago, Illinois 60631 for a funeral service at 11am. Family and friends will meet at Mt. Emblem Cemetery, 520 E Grand Ave, Elmhurst, Illinois 60126, for a graveside service at 1pm.
