Frank P. Leone

Frank P. Leone, of Elmhurst, passed away peacefully February 17, 2026 at the age of 90. He was the beloved husband of the late Beverly M. (nee DuKovan). Frank was born in Chicago, to the late Peter and the late Louise (nee Grillo) Leone. He was the second oldest of 5 boys, brother to the late Palmer, Robert (Ann), Richard (Lynn) and Roger (Lisa), brother-in-law of David (Carolyn) DuKovan, Barbara Liedtke, and Judi (the late Karl) Brzank.

He is survived by his sons Frank Jr (Noreen) and Michael (Margaret), his grandchildren Rebecca (Sean) McCabe, Matthew (Jennifer) Gilles, Kyle (Kristin) Leone, Nicholas (Jordan) Leone and Patrick Leone. He was blessed with 8 great-grandchildren, Bennett, Connor, Theadora, Addison, Emma, Cooper, Luke and Parker; uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Frank loved 3 things in life, Beverly, whom he affectionately called "Duke", the Chicago Cubs and red wine. He grew up on the west side of Chicago, Polk and Homan. He went to work for Sears, Roebuck & Co in 1956 and retired after 38 years. In retirement, he needed something to occupy his time, so he worked for District 205 as a hall monitor at York High School. After 20 years walking the halls, Frank officially retired in 2014.

The family is deeply grateful to the staff in the memory care neighborhood at The Sheridan Oak Brook who lovingly cared for Frank in the last years of his life.

A visitation will be held on Monday, March 9, 2026 from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Ahlgrim Funeral Home, 567 S. Spring Rd., Elmhurst, IL 60126. Interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
