Ronald C. Flormann Sr., 90, of Glen Mills, PA passed away peacefully on August 28, 2023 at Rose Court within Maris Grove. He was surrounded by loved ones who in his final moments played the song, "Spanish Eyes", one of his and his beloved wife, Diane C. Flormann's, favorite songs. Born in Paterson, NJ and raised in Denville, NJ, Ron then resided, with his wife, for the past 12 years at the Maris Grove Community in Glen Mills, PA, previously residing in Boonton Township, NJ for 52 years. Ron graduated from Boonton High School, then served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict period in Trieste Italy after which he ran his family businesses for the next 50 years.
He was a member of Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Church in Boonton, NJ and later St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Glen Mills, PA. Ron served as a member of the Boonton Township Police Auxiliary for 10 years. He was known for his athleticism and specifically enjoyed playing volleyball and basketball. He enjoyed dancing and traveling with his wife, in-depth conversations about investing in the stock market, and trout fishing. Most of all, Ron was a devoted family man and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Some of the family's fondest memories were volleyball-Sundays at Lake Rickabear, grabbing chili dogs at Leo's and Rocky's while making sales calls, working alongside him at his fishing tackle shop, and cheering for his children and grandchildren at their sporting events.
In addition to his parents, Paul W. Sr. and Jean Ryan Flomann, Ron is preceded in death by a brother, Paul W. Flormann, Jr. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Diane; four children, Ron Jr. (Candice) Flormann, Michael (Patty) Flormann, Diana (Jeff) Kimmich, and Lisa (Tim) Walsh; eight grandchildren, twin granddaughters, Alexandra (Sean) Ziller and Victoria Flormann, William Flormann, Angela (Mitch) Haynes, Ryan (Kerri) Kimmich, Tina Kimmich, Christopher Walsh, and Jacqueline Walsh; and three great-grandchildren, Roman, Audrey, and Loghan.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 5th from 9:30-11:00 AM at the Maris Grove Chapel, 200 Maris Grove Way, Glen Mills, PA 19342, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM and a luncheon. Friends and family are invited. An Interment will then be held privately at St. Thomas the Apostle Cemetery, Glen Mills, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ron's name, a man who beat cancer three times, may be made to the American Cancer Society.
