Ronald "Ron" P. Goetzke of Oxford, Michigan and formerly of Troy, Michigan, Lewiston Michigan, and Clearwater, Florida, died May 20, 2025. He was 85. Beloved husband of Ruth Ann for 50 years; loving father of Susan Vogel and the late Michael J. Goetzke; proud grandfather of Stephanie, R.J. (Alex), Gabriel (Lane) and Madison; great-grandfather of Jonathon, Josie, Leonidas, and Nora. Also survived by Friend Beverly Hill who is the recipient of the Leader Dog named after Ron: "Ronnie G".
Ron thoroughly enjoyed helping and serving people. He was past board member, president and Grand Lion of the Clearwater, Florida and Lewiston, Michigan Lions Clubs, longtime Scout Master in Lewiston, and would help his friends and family with finances and investments. Ron could fix anything. He loved woodworking, fishing and spending time with his family.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 – 12:30 p.m. at Modetz Funeral Home, 100 E. Silverbell Rd., Orion. The family will receive friends 11am until time of service.
In lieu of flowers, suggested memorials may be made to Tunnel to Towers or St. Jude’s.
