Ronald J. Harned

Ronald J. Harned, 86, of Meadville, passed away Friday, December 16, 2022 at Wesbury United Methodist Community.
He was born October 24, 1936 in Greenville, a son of the late Maurice and DaVee Campbell Harned. He married Phyllis Perry September 7, 1957 and she preceded him in death September 15, 2009. He subsequently married Ann Roha Forrester August 5, 2011.
Ron was a 1954 graduate of Conneaut Lake High School and a 1959 graduate of Fenn College (now Cleveland State) with a bachelor's in business administration. He worked at Penelec, Northwest Rural Electric Cooperative, and retired from Saegertown Manufacturing Company.
Ron was a former member of the Springs Rod and Gun Club, Cambridge Springs Rotary and Kiwanis Clubs, Conneaut Lake Kiwanis Club, Crawford County Solid Waste Authority, Crawford County Redevelopment Authority, Cambridge Springs Borough Council, Masonic Lodge 473, and was a former Cambridge Township supervisor.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and woodworking.
Survivors, in addition to his wife Ann, include a daughter, Pamela Mullen (Timothy) of Meadville; a son, Steven Harned (Julie) of Summerville, SC; a stepson, Vincent Forrester of Butler; three grandchildren, Cody and DaVee Harned and Bryce Mullen; a brother, Richard Harned of Conneaut Lake; one niece and three nephews.
Calling hours will be Thursday, December 22nd from 1-3 p.m. at the ROBERT W. WAID FUNERAL HOME, 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE where the funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. Sam Marchetta, Wesbury Chaplain, officiating.
Interment will be in Rocky Glen Cemetery.
