Ronald Leon Harness, 74, of Jefferson, Arkansas, passed away Saturday November 11, 2023. He was born September 11, 1949, in Star City, to Robert L. and Wilma L. Harness.
Ronald was reared in Star City and graduated from Star City High School in 1966. Upon graduation he proudly served in the United States Marine Corps for 3 years. Following his service to our country, Ronald worked as a Pipefitter, then became a welder and reserve maintenance worker until his retirement from the Pine Bluff Arsenal. Ronald loved God and attended Bethany Missionary Baptist Church. He was a long-time member of the Jacob Brump Masonic Lodge #160 of Pine Bluff. He loved to hunt, ride motorcycles, and spend time with his family. Ronald adored his children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was a man of wisdom, and often people would seek out his advice and counsel.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Edward Harness and Tommy Harness; and one sister, Nancy Agee.
Survivors include his wife, Regina Harness, whom he married April 4, 2009; one son, Casey Harness; one daughter, Jennifer (Eric) Harness Bean; three grandchildren, Kyle, Megan, and Austin Bean; and one brother, Ray Harness.
Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 16, 2023, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 16, 2023, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son with Bro. Jonathan Witcher officiating. Interment will follow at Jefferson Cemetery with Military honors and Masonic rites.
