Ronald L. Hill, 69 of Ostrander, passed away peacefully Sunday, December 15, 2024 at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.
Born January 14, 1955 in Delaware, Ohio, the son of Charles M. & Janice E. (Currant). Ronald was born into a farming family, his family owned their farm on Stover Rd, in Ostrander, Ronald continued to farm that land, just up until recently when he could no longer. He attended Buckeye Valley High School. While there, he showed livestock at the Delaware County Fair. He helped with the chores around the farm, and assisted his father with milking the cows every morning.
After graduating high school Ronald went to work for Select Sires in Plain City, Ohio, he was a Herdsman Custodian, and retired after 39 years with them.
Ronald was bound to the Earth, from the day of his birth. He took pride in farming, where he planted, grew, harvested and raised such things as corn, soy beans and beef cattle. Ronald was hardworking, dedicated and sometimes a bit stubborn.
Ronald is preceded in death by his parents, all 3 of his siblings and his loving wife Marjorie J. (Spears) in 2011.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving children Scott Hill and Betsy Griffith; grandchildren Alana & Tom Griffith and Jacob Hill; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
