Ronald Lynn Jones, known fondly as Ronnie Lynn, passed away on September 30, 2023, in Carthage, Texas. Born on June 16, 1963, in Dallas, Texas, Ronnie was a beacon of faith, kindness, and friendship, always ready with a warm smile and a helping hand.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his father, Walter Ronald Jones, and mother, Barbara Jo Drown. He is survived by his step-father, Charlie Drown, and loving wife, Susan Jones. Ronnie is also survived by his son, Tyler Jones (Sharon), and his daughters, Summer Gaskill (Matt) and Lace Trout (Robert). He treasured the moments he spent with his grandchildren, Layne, Ty, and Roan Gaskill; Ansley and Luke Trout; and Ronin Jones, who brought immense joy and laughter into his life.
Ronnie was a beloved brother to Tony Jones ( Kathy) and Jerry Jones (Lisa).
The bond he shared with his siblings was one of unconditional love. His many nieces and nephews will remember him as a fun-loving and caring uncle.
There was never a doubt that his wife Susan was the upmost love of his life and best friend. The moments they shared together camping and fishing were always a highlight and treasured memories. They never missed an opportunity to spend time with their beloved grandchildren who called them GeeGee and Pops.
Ronnie found solace in fishing, a hobby that allowed him to connect with his brothers, brother-in-law, Mike Oney, and those he cared about most. He was a man of deep faith, which guided him throughout his life and helped him face challenges with courage and grace. His three dogs, Fergie, Max, and Cricket, were his loyal companions and brought him immense joy. His love for them was evident in the way he cared for them and the time he spent with them.
Ronnie will be remembered as a man of great faith. He was always ready to share his beliefs and was a source of spiritual guidance for many. His faith was not just in words, but in action, as he was always ready to lend a hand to those in need. His kind spirit and friendly demeanor made him a favorite amongst his friends and family. He had the ability to make people feel at ease and welcomed, a quality that endeared him to all who knew him.
Ronnie's legacy of love, kindness, and faith will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. His unwavering faith and love will be deeply missed. As we remember Ronnie, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with love, faith, and a deep devotion to family. His memory will forever be a beacon of love and kindness, inspiring all who knew him to live with faith and compassion.
