Ronald Eugene Miller, son of the late Eugene and Wilma Miller, husband of Noreen Loudon Miller, died September 2, 2022, after a prolonged illness. In addition to his wife, he leaves behind his daughter Carrie (Miller) Birmingham and her husband James, six siblings: Edward (Nancy), Roger (Lorene), Karl, Judy, Charlie, and Anita and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ronald was predeceased by his Godson, James Love and his brother-in-law, Charles Shanner.
After his father's passing in 1960, Ronald dropped out of his school taking at job at Stop & Shop to support the large family, Anita the youngest sibling was just four years of age. Soon after he met Noreen, the love of his life and they married on September 4, 1965. In December of 1965, Ronald began his service with the United States Army in Vietnam.
After his service, Ronald continued to work for Stop & Shop. In 1975 he went into business for himself and started County Septic & Portables. Ronald ran the company until his health pushed him to retire in 2018.
Ronald was a proud Army Veteran. A motorcycle racer andenthusiast. A lifetime member of the Ischoda Yacht Club having served as past Commodore and a member of American Legion Post 12. Ronald had a vast knowledge of history, an easy-going personality, and a quick wit. Ronald had an affection for animals, especially his dog, Roxie. Above all Ronald loved his family and friends, helping many along the way of life.
A memorial will be held on Saturday, September 10th at 12:30 PM at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk. Friendsmay visit with family on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the service.
Contributions in Ronald's memory may be made to American Legion Post 12.
