Ronald Dean Morris, 82, of Fletcher, Oklahoma, was welcomed into the arms of his Lord on Sunday, August 17, 2025, just one day after celebrating his 62nd wedding anniversary with his beloved bride, Susan.

Ronald was born on September 10, 1942, in Fletcher, Oklahoma, to Roy and Beatrice Morris. His early life was spent in Fletcher before his family relocated to Lawton when he was a year old. At age six, they returned to Fletcher, where Ronald would grow up, graduate from Fletcher High School in 1960, and go on to build a life rooted in hard work, faith, and love of family.

He later graduated from Cameron University in Lawton in 1979 and earned a Fire Science degree from Oklahoma State University. Ronald faithfully served as a firefighter with the Fort Sill Fire Department for 28 years, a career marked by bravery and service to others. Yet beyond his noble work as a firefighter, his deepest passion was bricklaying. From his youth until his retirement from the craft in 2015, he found joy, pride, and purpose in his work with brick-a craft he carried in his heart until his final days.

Ronald also had a lifelong love of motorcycles, beginning at age 14. He was an active member of the Christian Motorcyclists Association for many years, where he combined his love of riding with his devotion to sharing Christ's love.

Above all, Ronald cherished his faith, his family, and his community. He is survived by his loving wife, Susan Morris; his son Jeff and wife Casey of Fayetteville, Arkansas; his daughter Nita Whitman of Fletcher, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many cousins, extended family, and dear friends.

Ronald's life was a testament to hard work, devotion, and unwavering faith. He loved his Lord and family deeply-and in turn, was deeply loved by them.

A memorial service for Ronald Morris will held 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 22, 2025, at Fletcher Assembly of God Church with Pastor Scott Carper officiating.
