Ronald Ralph Paulson
January 17, 1936 - September 12, 2022
Ron was born in Minneapolis, MN to Ralph and Violet (Savage) Paulson. He graduated from South High in 1953. Ron was a very hard worker and took pride in supporting his growing family. Through the years, he drove truck for Ewald Bros., Briggs Trucking and Metz Bakery, among others.
In his spare time Ron enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing golf. Neighbors referred to him as the grass whisperer, as his lawn was perfection.
Ron married Theresa Leger on July 2, 1955 at Ascension Church in Minneapolis. They were blessed with 67 years of marriage, five children, five granddaughters and 13 great-grandchildren. With the exception of the first year, they spent their married life in Coon Rapids.
Surviving Ron is his wife, Theresa and children, Beth (Mark) Egli, Diane Paulson Hammond, Steven Paulson and Robert Paulson. Ron truly loved his family and received much joy when he became 'Papa' to five surviving granddaughters, Jill (Dusty) Hefley, Rachael (Matt Beversdorff) Joseph, Katrina Waldren, Joanna (James) Runyon and Kathryn (Tait Staven) Browen. Also surviving are great-grandchildren Jasmin (Daniel Dietrich) Iverson, Ariana Hefley, Jonah Joseph, Hannah Joseph, Cameron Cooley, Braden Waldren, Lyla Runyon, Avalynn Runyon, Josephine Runyon, Emilia Runyon, Cole Link, Evan Link, and Jace Staven.
He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter Karen Paulson Browen, grandson Kyle Waldren, great-grandson Carter Link, his parents and sister Janice (Ray) Finn, along with his parents-in-law, Amos and Lucille (Demars) Leger.
A memorial service will be held on October 15, 2022 at Washburn-McReavy Funeral Chapel, 1827 Coon Rapids Blvd NW, Coon Rapids, MN 55433. Visiting hour at 10:00am followed by service at 11:00am. A light lunch will follow the service at the VFW Coon Rapids Post 9625, 1919 Coon Rapids Blvd NW, Coon Rapids, MN 55433.
