On Wednesday, December 18, 2024, Ronald Robinson, aged 74, passed away after a long battle with lung and heart disease. Born on September 6, 1950, in Beaumont, Texas, Ronald was the youngest of seven children and the only boys alongside his fraternal twin brother, Raymond Robinson. He was the beloved son of Felix and Lizzie B. Robinson.
Ronald graduated from Ross S. Sterling High School in 1969 and embarked on a 38-year career as a Journeyman Pipefitter with Brown & Root, Inc. In 1974, he married Janis Mercier Robinson, and together they celebrated 50 years of marriage. Ronald and Janis were blessed with two children, Emile (Ana) Joseph Robinson and Arnetric (Don) Joy Ryals, and lovingly raised their nephew, Ivory Christopher Whitfield.
Ronald was a man of many talents, once a proficient bowler and later an avid fisherman who enjoyed peer, freshwater, and deep-sea fishing. Since the 1980s, he and his family cherished their vacations in Galveston, Texas. Ronald was known for his unforgettable presence and ability to fix just about anything.
He is predeceased by his parents, Felix and Lizzie B. Robinson, and his sisters, Senia B. Fountain, Imergene Wash, Lillie B. Hayden, and Gennette Arline. Ronald leaves behind his cherished twin brother, Raymond Robinson (Lisa), and beloved sister, Annie Pearl Choyce. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jenae Williams, Christian Whitfield, April (Larry) Olveda, Amber Knight, and Martina Cadoree; great-grandchildren, Evan Olveda and Graysen Richardson; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
