Anyone who knew Ronnie knew his love for the outdoors. Fishing, hunting, camping, root digging; you name it, and he did it. Some of his most cherished memories, shared with family and friends, took place either on a lake or in the woods. He was well-known for the many years he spent working at the starter shop in Tennessee as well as time spent working on area farms. He was a 1979 graduate of Middlesboro High School.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Patricia Upton Hawk; son, Christopher Hawk; and daughter, Brittany Hawk; stepchildren, Jeffrey (Melissa) Martin, and Maggie Upton; and another special grandson, Bryson Upton; grandchildren, Dennis Hawk, Keisha Hawk, Ava Hawk, Aaliyah Flanary, Marley Flanary, Kyson Daniels, Madison Madeline Martin, Brooklyn Poppe, and Gracie Upton; siblings, Pat (Gene) Owens, Sue (John) England, Janis (Gerald) Cook, Arleen (Larry) Wilson, Linda (Benny) Barnett, Allen Hawk, and Diane Hawk; brother-in-law, James (Sue) Partin; and cousin, Steve Lynch, who he considered a brother, as well as a host of other family and friends.
