Ronald Keith "Ron" Sparkman

Ronald Keith Sparkman, 77, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2025. He was born on October 24, 1947, in Roswell, New Mexico, to Clarence and Minnie Ruth (Hurford) Sparkman. Raised by his mother, Minnie, and his grandmother, Althea Hurford, Ron grew up in Roswell and met the love of his life, Nancy (Beeman) Sparkman, at church when they were both children. The two were married for 57 years, standing by each other through life's highs and lows.
Ron was a man of many talents, excelling in baseball, singing, and his ability to fix almost anything he got his hands on. His passion for his faith kept him actively involved in church until health challenges limited his participation.
Ron was preceded in death by his mother, Minnie Sparkman; father, Clarence Sparkman; and his beloved wife, Nancy Sparkman. He is survived by his daughter, Rhonda Leftwich and her husband Ronnie; two sons, Tom and his wife Susan, and Chris and his wife Tracy; and his nine cherished grandchildren: Meagan Leftwich, Ryan Leftwich and his wife Emily, Ben Leftwich, Linda Sparkman, Isaac Sparkman, Ian Sparkman, Catie Sparkman, Rachel Sparkman, and Brock Sparkman. He is also survived by his Aunt Nova, Earl Murray, as well as many cousins.
Ron will be dearly missed by his family and all who knew him.
