Ronald G. Swider, 83, of Bethlehem, passed away on Nov. 1, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Mary (Klapac) Swider with whom he shared 62 years of marriage. Born in Brooklyn NY, he was the son of the late George and Pauline (Lupco) Swider. He graduated from Lansford High School in 1959 and in 2019, was honored to be inducted into the Carbon County Area Chapter of the PA Sports Hall of Fame. Ron held various positions in IT at Bethlehem Steel from 1964 to 1995 and at Home Depot in Bethlehem for 22 years, retiring in 2017. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Bethlehem. He will be remembered as a loving and caring provider to his family and enjoyed time spent with them and especially his grandchildren.
Survivors: In addition to his wife, Mary, he is survived by his daughters, Renee M. Horwath (James) of Bethlehem Twp., Cynthia M. Gallagher (John) of Fountain Hill; sister, Geraldine Haberacker of Palm; 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
Services: Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, Nov. 9th all at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 3219 Santee Rd. Bethlehem. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery. Arr. by JAMES FUNERAL HOME, Bethlehem.
